We understand subscription fatigue, which is why we kept local eVue fully functional without Pro.
Other vendors don't offer the same level of cloud connectivity, mobile access, real-time analytics, and intelligent automation that requires ongoing infrastructure and development. More importantly, other vendors do not keep you up to date yearly. In fact, for some vendors software updates are not even possible. Keeping local laundry software up to date requires coordination, logistics and has costs.
Cloud tools, mobile apps, APIs, and connected features require continuous upkeep, security updates, and server costs. Without Pro, we cannot reliably support them.
This is the industry direction for connected industrial tools. We're leading it rather than catching up later.
No problem, you can reactivate anytime. There's a reactivation fee that scales with how long you were away. Six months off? Small fee. Six years off? Much larger fee. If you've been inactive for over two years, we'll probably need to send someone out so that the upgrade and enhancements get added without disruption in production, which adds $5,000-$10,000 to your reactivation costs. Bottom line: staying subscribed saves you money and hassle.
eVue Pro and Pro Support are two separate subscriptions that serve different purposes.
eVue Pro is a software subscription. It provides access to cloud connectivity, remote visibility, updates, intelligent add-ons, and the features described throughout this site.
Pro Support is a service subscription. It covers support and training services such as extended support availability, training resources, webinars, and ongoing assistance from our service team.
Some customers have one, some have both. They are designed to complement each other, but they are not the same subscription.
Plant software updates are planned annually, while cloud and mobile updates roll out continuously in the background.
No. The local kiosk experience stays the same. Dashboards and machine interfaces continue working exactly as before. Only connected tools are affected if Pro is inactive.
Yes. eVue Pro includes multi-site visibility through eVue Anywhere.
Those reports now rely on cloud infrastructure and modern security standards. The subscription covers the ongoing cost of keeping that infrastructure secure and compliant, so everything continues running smoothly behind the scenes.
If your software isn't kept up to date, we can't reliably guarantee that features like emailed reports or eVue Anywhere will continue to work. Older systems (five years or more out of date) often run into browser and security issues that prevent emails or data from sending properly.
Sending reports, alerts, and text messages also carries a real cloud service cost that we pay every month, and the subscription allows us to sustain that support.
Keeping your software up to date helps protect your system from the risks that come from outdated browsers, expired components, and older technology. Staying current helps keep your data safer and reduces the chance of unexpected failures.
Yes. eVue Pro is designed so your plant remains secure and continues operating even if internet access is temporarily unavailable.
eVue runs locally inside your facility and does not depend on a constant internet connection to control production or automation. Data is securely sent outward to eVue's cloud services for visibility, reporting, and alerts. Incoming access is tightly controlled using firewalls and secure remote access tools.
If the internet connection is interrupted, your plant continues to run normally. Once connectivity is restored, data automatically syncs back to eVue's cloud services.
This approach provides the benefits of connectivity and support without compromising reliability or security on the plant floor.

eVue Pro is specifically designed to prevent outdated technology like Adobe Flash from disrupting your operations. From 2009 to 2019, earlier versions of eVue (v1-v5) relied on Adobe Flash technology. When Flash was discontinued, it caused significant issues for customers running older software. We released eVue 6 in 2020, built completely on modern HTML5 and JavaScript, removing the Flash dependency entirely.

In the past, we allowed local access from office computers or tablets for non-Pro customers. Over time, though, it became a major support challenge. Every facility's IT department handles browser updates differently. Some upgrade automatically, others delay them, and that created reliability and security issues we couldn't control.
When you're on eVue Pro, we keep your software and browsers aligned with the latest standards, so we can guarantee that local access works smoothly and securely. Without those regular updates, we can't guarantee reliability or provide ongoing support.
It also takes dedicated resources to maintain this flexibility, so local office and tablet access is now part of the supported, continually updated eVue Pro experience.
Setting up BYOD access uses your existing network infrastructure. We don't provide or install Wi-Fi networks.
For office access, you may need to work with your IT department to ensure your office computers can access your plant's eVue system on your local network.
For mobile devices like iPads or phones, you'll need plant Wi-Fi coverage in the areas where you want to use them. This uses your existing wireless network. We simply help configure access to eVue through your current setup.
Think of it as connecting to your eVue system the same way you'd connect to any other local application or printer on your network. We work within your existing network infrastructure rather than adding our own.
No, eVue Pro only includes eVue software updates. Kannegiesser equipment software such as SLX, X6, or IBT software, or other equipment specific software is not part of eVue Pro.
eVue is the software that runs your laundry operations and manages your plant data. We believe updating the cloud frequently and the local plant yearly is the correct cadence after some trial and error.
We intentionally do not update equipment software at this time. Equipment software updates involve downtime, and equipment is meant to run continuously with updates only as needed for specific issues or functionality improvements.
This approach keeps your production equipment stable while ensuring your operational software stays modern and secure.
